The party’s Bylaws set out a weighting formula by riding and age group. According to this formula, each riding is allocated 3,000 points, of which 2,000 points are allotted to members aged twenty-six (26) and over and 1,000 points to members aged twenty-five (25) and under on June 14, 2025.
The total number of points that can be awarded is 375,000.
The Candidate who obtains 50% plus one of the total points obtained is elected Leader.
If no candidate obtains more than 50% of the points in the first round, a second round must be held between the two candidates with the most points.
Voting is secret and takes place by Internet or telephone during the Voting Phase, from June 9 to 14.
Members will be able to rank the candidates in order of preference.
All Party members in good standing as of May 9, 2025, can vote for the Leader. Members vote in the riding where they reside and are qualified electors.
